You know in those endless debates I always said the .45/70 was capable of killing DG but far from ideal.

A client shot a cape buffalo with one and a guide gun plus tested one for penetration on a elephant skull when I was in the Matetsi in 2002. It does the job. BUT even this guy knew it was far from ideal and had a lot of other big bores to choose from. He was also very experienced and not a new-chum the first time on safari.

I think these Baikal double .45/70's will lead to a whole lot of guys planning to take one on safari. Which probably is not ideal.
