Claims it does not work on other Mausers. I have noted this MIGHT be because of the straight bolt handle getting in the way on some actions. If the bolt handle is bent, it may not be a problem. Only way to find out would be to ask.

But do you think this mounting system is otherwise viable? And holds zero properly?

Also it would have to allow a scope to be mounted far enough back for proper eye relief?

But might save a few dollars on a not very valuable project. ie by not having to have the action tapped for proper mounts.

With a detachable magazine stock, loading through the ejection port is less of an issue.
