Re: Cooper Firearms

tks guys, I am blushing now, and my hat no longer fits.

The only reason for choosing the Roberts, is the 115 and 117gr. Partitions, excellent bullets at about 2,900fp, or higher for most NA game.

After spending from 1979, 29 years (wow) until now amongst the best hunting ungulate and bear hunting in the world, I am of the opinion I could easily do or could have done all my hunting with a standard .243 or 6mm or if larger, a .257Bob.
Buddy Keith and I had a talk about just this, perhaps a year ago. given the bullets of today, even smaller would also have worked, given enough time for the hunt. When time weighs heavily, as in a week or two only, the larger .24 and .25 cal. would have been lots. One naturally forgoes the 300+ yard shots on moose and elk, but 400 should be doable for deer and deer-type game, if the shooter is up to it.
