Whilst there are a few "Carbon Wrapped" barrel brands available, Proof Research is one of, or the only one that do this procedure correctly.
I have a 6.5 and a .338 Hardy RE "Carbon Wrapped" barrel but they, like several others, just have sheets of carbon fibre mat (and resin) wrapped around a machined down barrel.

The other bonus with the Proof Research barrels, is the range of calibres available from them.
A mate of mine www.gcpdarms.com imports them, if anybody needs them here in Oz.
