That was quite informative. Ripp - but no mention (unless I missed it) of the Ruger 10-22 carbon wrapped and stressed barrels.

My Browning factory 26" .300mag. puts the first 3 from 3 separate factory hunting loads, 3 different weights, into 1/2" groups, but by the 3rd shot, fired with cold (70F) barrel start, the heat waves are starting to distort the scope's image. After the 3rd shot, the barrel must be allowed to cool.

I have heard the carbon wrapped barrels will extend shooting for at least double the amount of rounds before needing to be cooled down.
