Thanks guys, glad you liked the Owen and the other sporters. I didn't notice the responses until now. Michael Petrov was a man who knew what he liked in rifles and stuck to it in building his collection (unlike me:). He was also a great gentleman.

If anyone is interested in his files, they are with ASSRA, the American Single Shot Rifles Association - probably gathering dust in boxes somewhere. I'd love to see someone pick up on his work.

His collection was sold at Amoskeag in 2014 and the guns are now scattered among various collectors - probably with many of us. I managed to grab two - a Dubiel .30-06 Mauser and a Griffin .30-06 Springfield. In hindsight I wish I had tried to buy several more, especially the Harvey Rodgers and Owen guns. @Relics6165 - the Zeilklein is a sweet little scope isn't it? Optics are still serviceable and it doesn't detract from the lines of a rifle the way larger scopes do. Looks great on a .22 or a .375 H&H.
