Gentlemen,

I use two rifles (Mauser 98) in 9,3x57 and I am very fond of the caliber for delivering some punch and also because of the soft recoil (due to the CIP pressure limit which I have to obey).

Measured velocities (in 560mm/22" barrel):

RWS 225 grs Doppelkern with Kemira N130 powder: 710 m/s
very good effect on roe deer and Fox

Norma 232 grs PPC Vulcan with Kemira N130 powder: 710 m/s
very good effect on roe deer

Speer 270 grs SPRN with Kemira N140 powder: 650 m/s
very good precision on 50m and 100m, only used as a training bullet

Geco 285grs SPRN with Kemira N140: 610 m/s
I think this bullet weight is to slow in this cartridge
