Re: 6.5 Creedmoor

Quote:

I was at my sisters over Thanksgiving and a new Ruger Precision rifle followed me home. It is in 6.5 Creedmoor. I am currently working on mounting a Night Force scope with a 56mm objective lens so I have rings ordered for it. Wish I could shoot it. Has anyone worked with the 6.5 Creedmoor. Any loading data would be appreciated especially using the 140gr Hornady ELD bullets.

You are a lucky man. Is this the 2.0 version or the original model??

I picked up a Bargara in 6.5 a couple months ago. To date have been hunting and/or gone too much to do anything with it at this point. I am with you, I plan to try it with the ELD's for paper..and might even use the Bergers ON PAPER as I have about 2000 of them .. Will NEVER us a BERGER for hunting ever again..they are not a hunting bullet no matter what the tv shows and Berger tries to tell you..

Curious what you come up with. Please post your results. I plan to get to mine in the early spring. And like you, plan to throw a Nightforce on it . Think for target shooting that is a perfect scope. Too heavy for a hunting scope for my tastes, but for target they are hard to beat.
