Jack Warne sold the original company and it went broke. Restarted by converting Mauser '96's. To be honest, their original rifles were hit and miss. I think the current crop is the best, although I would have liked a large caliber BGR '89 I think they were named. Been through Kimba, Jack's one time home, driving from Adelaide to Ceduna when we moved to Perth in '87. Was a nice little town and I thought of the Kimber rifles then, having owned ones in .22 and .22WMR. Prior to starting Kimber firearms, Jack worked with Sportco. Cheers, Chris |
