I'm going to agree with Ripp; I have three Kimber 1911's, one stainless and two aluminum frames. The ultra combat I carry every day and have put thousands of rounds through it. Some years ago I spoke with a custom pistol smith, his comments were "You can take a $1000's worth of parts and put a $1000 in labor into it and they will not shoot any better than a Kimber out of the box". My Stainless I converted to a 45 super and carry it when bow hunting in bear country. I have had no experience with their rifles. Bob
