I have more experience with their handguns vs rifles..however my wife has one in .308..thin barrel, walnut stock...and its a shooter...shoots factory ammo all day long under a 1" at 100 yards...she has taken a few elk with it now as well as a deer or two...

The people I talk to at the local gun shop have had good result with them...
Kimber just come out with a less expensive model this year called the HUNTER..

Just read a report on this last week..shot really well..

From what I have known through the years, think at one point there may have been some quality control issues..but not the case now from what I read, hear and experience. I really like the handguns..between my wife and I we have numerous models..all work and shoot very well..
