So I went to the range today and squeezed of a few factory rounds. The trigger is a crisp 5kg plus ....might need adjusting . So I started at 50yds and used the 100yd V and put the ball low , almost level in the bottom, with the target aim point above this. At 50 yds aiming at a 50mm dot I shot two groups of two shots touching either side of the dot . When I shifted to 100yds , I was struggling to get a clear sight picture and the groups were 4", I'm leaning towards thinking it is me as opposed to the rifle. The white lines on the rear V's and the White dot on fore sight the are missing . The groove is there for the lines, I'm guessing this may have been Ivory and over time it's come off ? My experience with this type of open sight is very limited. Can anyone suggest where I might find a description of these sights and how to use them, ie position of the ball in the V and adjusting the fore sight . Are there better targets than others for sighting open sights on ?
