I only tried it with the fixed sight to see where it shot. My rifle has factory claw mounts so I usually use it with the scope and even then very rarely over 100 yds. Out of interest I shot a bull buffalo the other day with that winchester ammo and as I was keeping the skull and horns for a mate I heart shot it instead of the usual head shot. It probably took 6 steps and piled up. Of course I wouldn't recommend it for buffalo but put it in the right place and there you go.
