Hello gryphon, I can recommend the 9,3x64 if you have access to the cases. In my opinion the 9,3x64 is the ballistic twin to the .375 H&H, but more precise due to the standard case design (without a belt). My impression is that you do not have to trim the cases as often as in the 375 H&H. bullets and use: - 255grs RWS Doppelkern and 232grs Norma PPC Oryx for somewhat reduced loads/smaller game - the 250grs TSX or 250grs Accubond for longer ranges - the 270grs Speer for training (szihn reported that it is a little bit soft on game) - 286grs TSX or Woodleigh PP for larger game - Reichenberg HDB are coated monometal bullets, available in some weights and very precise A 24" barrel may be the best barrel length, as the 9,3x64 uses medium to slow burning powders. Precision was only bad with severe downloaded cartridges, but I found it very precise with all bullet weights from 225grs to 286grs in standard velocity loadings. best regards Rolf |
