Mr Howard got rid of all of our so called 'dangerous' weapons in 96, I had a Winchester!
Was a bloody grubby old piece when I first got it but it cleaned up beautifully & shot well enough to easily bowl a few of our giant grasshoppers over!
Never got it destroyed, I handed it into the local military museum up here - you can't put a price on history!
Absolutely lovely little piece that one of yours Will_F I hope you still have it & no we'll definitely never see that type of bargain again in our lifetime!
To me these old warriors have far more character than the new ones of today - just because they're old doesn't mean they're no good, like a good wine, they get better with age!
