Trying to identify post war German 98 sporter

Have a fairly nice german made (i think) 98 based sporter in 7x64. I am trying to identify who may have made it if it can be determined. I believe it's a post second world war gun built using wartime parts. The follower is waffen marked as well as the root of the bolt handle. No serial numbers marked on the bolt and the safety has an S engraved on the flag so it can be seen in the safe position. I couldn't find anything else wartime marked. Has claw mounts and a somewhat older zeiss 6x scope that doesn't look as old as the rest of the gun. Barrel is 23 inches. Has fairly nice double set triggers and rear sight with one folding leaf. If anybody has any idea who put it together it would be appreciated.
