Early on that is correct, then he rechamered or rebarrelled to 300Win Mag, then used the 340 Weatherby Mag for the bulk of his trophy hunting !
We had 100's of 308Norma rounds in camp & we ran out of 300Win Mag cartridges, so I tested the 308Norma in the 300Win, both head spaced on the belt, so I resighted the old girl in with the 308 Norma rounds & we shoot Donkeys, Horses & some Hogs by the 100's with them !
