Ash, thanks for posting those photos for me! For the record gents the adaptor is a Lothar-Walther one originally in .300WM, had a gunsmith turn it down to suit the .308NM. The .30 carbine loads end up 6" low at 100m & pretty much in line, yes the groups aren't anything to rave over but would be capable of taking light game at that distance if I did my part right! Daryl, I think this one will see me out, but if I burn the barrel out it will be a stainless one to go back in. I didn't know that there was a .300NM either!
