Interesting. I've never heard of the .300 Norma Magnum until now.

In the 60's, maybe 70's, there was at least one International shooting team, the USA Marine Team, if I recall correctly, was using a .30/.338 as their 1000yard ctg. It was called the .30/.338 then, here in NA, and I see no reason to call it anything else.

Never heard of a .300 Norma - perhaps it was called that in Europe.
