Daryl, will have to look for those products here in Oz - sounds like they certainly do save elbow grease!
I certainly let the sweets soak in - several times! When I do have a shot I normally have a good session & clean all my rifles at once. I made up a 'flat pack' 3 gun cleaning rest that slots together so I can transport it in the truck.
It's rough really just has an old towel either end for the rifles to rest on so the wood work doesn't get bruised.
Notes on bottle about leaving Sweets in the bore greater than 10-15 minutes is nonsense really, been cleaning that rifle for 30+ years now, just takes a bit more time to do - keeps me out of the Missus' hair!
