I underestand what you say about the rifle being a launching platform for the lastest wizzbang long range cartridge.
To me it is a disturbing trend to see how far away a hunter can snipe a game animal rather than stalking in close or learning the habits of the game and setting up in an area that would present a clear shot at a short to moderate distance that would help ensure a clean kill.
Just my thoughts. (It's still ugly).
