Every No4Mk1 or similar Enfield I have ever had shot best when the barrel was free floated the way they were from the factory. Some say that these rifles needed upward muzzle pressure, I have never had one that benefited from such modifications. The No1Mk111 is a different animal, most that I have had shot best with pressure at the middle band and at the nosecap. Being that your rifle is new from the wrap, I suspect the wood has warped slightly and needs to be free floated again. |
