If anyone is wondering the Boyds prarie hunter for the BRNO 600 is what I used on both, 5 minutes of dremel work in order to clear the safety lets them drop right in. I did however use Terminal ballistic research bedding kits and fore and aft bedded both rifles for rock solid and stress free bedding of both rifles. Reloader 17 gets me 2550 easily without any pressure signs with the 286 partition in the X62 with its .405 BC its a 300+ yard rifle with lots of downrange energy. The same powder shoves a 200 grain partition in the 30-06 to 2600+ with its 20" tube again with no pressure signs and again gives it a 300 yd + useable range in a handy package. |
