Edelweiss; Take a 91-30 and a front sight band from an M-39 Finn M/N. Chop the barrel and slide the sight down to where it stops. Voila! Perfect 23 inch barrel and a much handier rifle than the 91-30 due to the shorter barrel but also much handier than the 39 due to the thinner barrel walls of the 91-30. Next, remove the Russky trigger and throw it as far away as you can. Or use it as a sinker for your trot line. Replace with Finn M39 trigger. File and polish the sear for better contact and you are all set. Oh, yeah, forgot. Chop the stock to where you want it, too. |
