its possible to change the military stock into a pistol grip sporter stock, imho, if you have some proper wood for changing it by glueing pieces on the stock. the pistol grip looks fine if you cover it with checkering after.
Thanks for the quick response. Actually 9.3 may be a bit much for me; but it is very cool.
Im still undecided about adding wood for the pistol grip or using metal to the triggerguard (perhaps one of each).
Im undecided about barrel length, maybe 20"(51cms) for the full stock and 22 or 24inches (56/61cms) for the half stock. Im really liking the idea of the octagon and dodecagon (12 sided) barrels from McGowen Precision Barrels. McGowen also offers fluting which isn't the traditional look that I think I want. They also offer fluting on the flats of their octagon barrels????
