270,280,7x57,338wm.What caliber would you like one in.I havent bought the 300wsm for the same reason and wondered how many other folks would have bought there rifle in standard length action.There are some older ones out there but I really doubt they will have anything we want in the 8400.I have been thinking about the 325wsm though.I will see how everyone likes them,I wonder how the recoil will be,I bet it kicks like a mule!As far a wood goes I have seen the regulargrade stocks more pretty than some of the higher priced guns with higher grade wood,They really make nice socks and put some of that great wood on there lower priced units...I just never figure out any bad stuff on a kimber rifle,but nobody owns them or talks about them any?Maybe they are just not sold everywhere and hard to get?I have yet to hold a 8400 rifle......I asked about the 325 and was told this spring maybe,,,,
