One glaring omission is how the action fastens to the stock. There is no front recoil lug like you would find on a Model 70 or 700 per se. Instead, there is a round protrusion that fits into a hollow piece of sheet metal fastened onto the stock by 4 little screws. I own one in .375 H&H. While the gun feeds better than anything else in my arsenal and it shoots okay. I don't trust the wacky hold down on the action and I would have never have purchased it had I have known that there was no big recoil lug I could glass bed for support.
These little screws go into the wood. If the wood splits you are buggered.
