Sounds like you have a winner! Are you shooting spire points or round nose 258s? I am particularly fond of the 250 grain round nose bullets. They have literally been the hammer of thor on black bears & whitetails here in PA for me

I have never had them drop faster .........quite literally in their tracks

I hope to have my LH mauser finished by February. It will join my Remington 7600 pump action 35 whelen

I picked up a reloader for Christmas & will be loading some 250 grain round noses for it. I also plan on trying the 225 grain Nosler ballistic tips & 250 grain partitions.
