In Alberta we are required to wear heavy clothing when hunting more often than not. Without a rubber recoil pad a denim, polar fleece,or Carhart jacket will make the rifle slip around like the pad is made up of ball bearings. The number of quality rubber recoil pads I have had installed on rifles has to be approaching 20. Slip around they do with certain clothing.
