G'Day Fella's, Thanks for that Ripp! I've been trying to get a close up look at the new Kimber's fluted bolt, without much luck, up until today. They certainly have chewed out a huge amount of metal from the bolt and handle!!! I was out at the rifle range yesterday with my 6.5x47 Lap, .338 Lap Mag and my Kimber L84 Montana, in .25-06. I was just running in the barrel on this new Kimber and whilst I have Talley steel QD rings and bases in place, I don't have a scope on it at present. Ripp, I remember you asking me to keep you informed on this (and a mate & customers same rifle in .280AI) rifle's accuracy, we will both have to wait a while on this! As mentioned above, I'm running the barrel in on this Kimber, with slightly reduced loads but with these loads (and no scope) it is really, a very pleasant rifle to shoot!!! I'll keep you all informed, on how this and the .280AI group shoot. Merry Christmas Homer |
