Ok now I'm convinced to let him buy his own new rifle. I hope he'll let me advise him and have a hand in what he does.
The question now is this? It would be his first own rifle. We hunt all over and live in NY. He is in love with the Marlin guide gun 45-70. Good choice for us here. We are planning Africa summer of 2006. Should I strongly suggest a faster flatter shooter or will that be the time he uses the guns I have for him?
