My son just started hunting. I have given him (to keep) the gun he needed as the conditions arise. A 22 to target shoot, shotguns to small game and skeet shoot and then his first big game rifle. He keeps expressing his desire to have his own gun. My son is a lefty like me. He can have use of and eventually own any and all of the rifles I couldn't afford for many years. I own left handed Heyms, Mausers, Weatherby's, etc. Is it really necessary to buy him his own entry level gun just to say it's his exclusively. Is it a right of passage and a manhood thing to buy him his own. Or just let him use my guns as the needs arise. |
