I had a Black Bear in 9.3x62 and returned it unfired. Whilst resizing cases for the rifle that had been fired in another 9.3, I noticed that the empty cases were hitting the scope on ejection - so much so it was bending the case mouths (not a problem in itself) and chipping the body surface of my scope. The rifle was returned to the importer and unfortunately it appears there is nothing that can be done about this. To me this is unacceptable - others may think different. Its a known problem in the 30-06 length action Sako 85 . The short action (308) does not do this and I am unsure about the bigger action for the magnums. |
