Gday folks I new to this forum and I would appreciate your input regarding a problem I have with my new FN98 rebarreled from 30-06 to 9.3x62. This rifle seems to feed well with most projectiles however the 286gn Woodleigh PPSN jam the meplat against the chamber rim, particularly with the lower rounds in the magazine. Because I have a fondness for this projectile which has worked well for me for several years hunting brumbies and scrub bulls with a Tikka 9.3, I am loathe to give up just yet. I am wondering if there is a gunsmithing solution which would rectify this issue. The plan for the rifle is a nice custom based upon the classic old english styling of Rigby etc. cheers & thanks |
