Woodbeef - Parker-Hale brought out rifles in that calibre in the 60's here in Australia, she might be an old girl, but if the riflings OK then you'll have yourself a cracker! Had mine (Parker Hale rifle also but rebarrelled) for nearly 30 years - after a lot of heartache for me trying to get it to group I found the best powder to use is AR2213SC (H4831 or IMR4831 for you Americans) IMR4350 or AR2209 for us Aussies gets the velocity easy, but it may not work in your new toy should you buy - be prepared to do a bit of work for this calibre, but once you find the right load its potential is just as good if not better than the .300 WM - besides it IS the original .30 short magnum! 93x64mm |
