I was not well at that time - was on some pretty stiff morphine due to back problems.
The adult rockchuck's head had just enough resistance for the bullet to work well.
We went out on a ranch one day several years ago to shoot rockchucks..apparently they had not been harrassed for some time as we shot 31 in one day..along with many columbian ground squirrels..was a great day..at that time I was using my .243 with .70 grain ballistic tips at 3550fps...did an amazing job on them..will have to search for photos..if I find them iwll post a few..
