lancaster, a red dot would serve well on this rifle for some applications, and certainly would be easy to mount, as well as having a scope ready, due to the excellent CZ receiver dovetail system.

But for me, a red dot would not be too useful except possibly for bear. I do not shoot driven or running game for the most part, but rather, carry such arifle for very thick cover where a scope is very helpful. In fact about the best scope I can think of for this rifle would be a 2-10 variable. Oftimes I find the need to thread the needle thru brush and the higher powers of magnification come in useful. Scope at present is a 1 3/4 - 5 variable, and it is OK.

The rifle handles very well indeed, tho, and for shooting running or moving game the red dot would no doubt be a good addition.
