Carl Gustaf 2000 Mk2 300wm

I have this spring been thinking of letting a Gunsmith building me a .308 NM on a Husqvarna 1900 action or a 640 action. The 1900 actions in magnum are hard to find. Than I found a CG 2000 in 300 WM on a Swedish "Ebay". I went to see it and liked it. Its built in 2003 or 2004. They did make not that many in 7 mm Rem Mag and 300 WM with this Classic stocking. The others built are Monte Carlo. This model 2000 was meant to be a better 1900. They really are not, but the ones that works properly are nice to shoot with. At first they were built in Italy, thats the ones that are not named Mk2. In numbers I think before 700 000. The quality on those can be and many were bad. They then took the production back to Sweden and named them Mk2. They did som changes on the mechanism also. These are the last rifles built in Sweden that are somehow related to Husqvarna. The CG 3000 and 4000 have nothing with Swedish production to do. Its Sauer and the "1900" that are built today are Italian.
As you can see it shoots very well. I tried it the first time today. It would have been more fun to build a rifle, but economically this was better. The two year old Swarowski z6i 2-12 x 50 was following the rifle. And the price I paid for it was a little more than for a new scope like that Swarowski. I like shooting with it, I shot 20 shots today. Regards Staffan
