Thanks Daryl- great information. Do you recall what the twist rate on your barrel was? I've heard / read that some factory 260's don't do well with 160-grain bullets. Maybe I'm old fashioned or narrow-minded, but I really like heavy-for-caliber bullet weights and think the 155 to 160-grain area could elevate the 260 beyond "deer rifle".
Of course that means knocking the dust off the reloading equipment, but Eldest Son has been showing some interest there...maybe I can make it "his rifle" long enough to get a supply of ammunition worked up???
