I too have been using the Taipan 215-grainers since they first appeared, mainly due to a weakness for the Long Tom, and vintage Lee Speed and Martini sporters with fast-twist barrels.

Yes, they are soft bullets with thin jackets, but this should make them ideal for the smaller deer. They are absolute bombs on all but the largest boars over here. Accuracy is faultless. I love them. Be sure to test them for stability in your barrel before ordering in bulk, but I'm guessing they will be OK.

...and as other posters have rightly pointed out: Woodleighs for the bigger stuff, though!
