"The effects of the Second World War reduced the business available for the (Jeffery) company and their 1949 ccatalogue reflected the change in fortunes, not only of the company, but also of the country.On offer were three A&D action guns, Models 1,2 &3. The top of the range were some .404 magazine rifles built on the P14 Enfield action for L75.
In 1955 a move was made to 5b Pall Mall ... Bolt action magazine rifles were still being built on the P14 action and were now available in a wider range of calibres, .275, .30-06 and .404 Magnum."
