Re: Stock for BSA Model D or E needed

Thanks but unless I come across a good one at a reasonable price I will use this Parker-Hale adapted Sporter/Target stock:-

I have to bedd it as the old compound has been removed so will clean up the bedding area and re-do that and sort out if I want to leave the drop belly magazine or straighten it out and use the straightened BSA tirgger guard. At the moment that's a std P-14 one fitted. it needs a new but pad, a thinner one to reduce LOP and the dents and compressions steamed out then a complete re-finish. But it's not a bad bit of walnut really. I have an old Cows horn with an interesting Green/Black colourign and I might even try to make a horn tip for this stock and a Horn inlay to fill the old military but plate tang recess.

The bolt handle needs altering or replacing and am considerign using a barrel mounted fron swivel. the hole where the front one has been stripped in the forestock will be repaired and a stud fitted so that if required a Bi-Pod could be used that is unless i can make the horn tip to cover it ......................... Hmmmmm a tange tip to match the hore inlay on the but. There's a thought. The rifle then needs a re-finish.

The BSA stock I missed was being offered for £15 and need a slight repair to the bridge inside between the trigger and the mag well.
