Stock for BSA Model D or E needed

Hi All,

Due to mess up in communications the stock which I should have had to replace the butchered one that it came with has been sent to and sold at Auction. So I now find that a suitable stock is needed for this BSA restoration.

For those who might not be aware the BSA Models D & E are sporterised P-14's and P-17's converted by BSA during the period 1949-1954 this is my Model E:-

The mode D had a rounded tip to the forestock rather than the schnable of the Model E

The bottom one is the restoration project which now has the new barrel fitted. The stock you can see has been whittled away and the hand of the stock is very thin and actually has a crack in it. In fact the more I look at it the more I wonder if this is the BSA stock at all or someones attempt at making one?

Then there is the cheekpiece!

Now I understand that most of these went for export and are found fairly commonly in both Canada and New Zealand so there must be a poor and rusted one soemwhere that can donate the stock.

Any help would be appreciated.
