Wood Beef, If you reckon you need the Extra Range that the AI will give you, go for it!

Another option, if the rifle action/magazine is long enough, just re-chamber it to the .25-06.
The dies will be standard and you will get AI performance at a similar cost per shot!
I have had a Rem 700 25-06 for 20 + years now and it's a cracker of a cartridge for Australia!
These days, I only shoot 100gr B/Tip and X bullets through it!
They are doing a nice 3400fps with good case life ans 1/2" to 5/8" groups!!!
