The earlier guns were supposedly valued much higher than the later ones. I don't know what the dates of that are. I sold one from a shop back in 75 that was perhaps made in the 50's or 60's - we valued them no higher than a M70 or 700. Think we got $250.00 cdn for it. We didn't think it was anything special - nice old Mauser .375 is all, and did not strike the 'gotta have' button in me.
I see that price as being WAYY out of line, but, what do I now? Maybe they had gold filled magazines?
