I thought he had penned a book about competitive shooting, but I could be wrong about that. He may have only written the 2 books.

I don't know of a biography written about Gates, but I would be in line to buy one should someone that knew Gates well would write one.

The new Weatherby Award book has a few stories penned by Gates, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't think Elgin always played by the rules, but he knew what he wanted to do and did it. Weiland's book talks about him a little, and I think Terry could do a biography about Elgin and do his life story justice.
