No I haven't tried Lil'Gun. Maybe I'll look at it.

My latest use of .44's is in a S&W M29. I used to have a Marlin and enjoyed it a lot. It's long gone, though. I used IMR4227 back then, but also some 2400. There's not a lot of difference in those two.

In the M29 I'm shooting cast lead ahead of moderate charges of Unique. I don't need the excitement and discomfort that goes with shooting full .44 Mag. loads in a handgun.
