I thought having five 30/06's would get me top honors but Luv2Safari beats me hands down.
My first centerfire rifle was a Rem. 721 in 30/06 which I still use today and has made two safaris so far. It and 180 Nosler Partitions just seem to work on "things"
Largest critters shot to date are multiple elk, one greater kudu, one gemsbok oryx, one red hartebeest and all gave it up quickly.
I have a Push Feed Mod 70, Ruger 1B, Ruger M77, Husky, Rem 721 and a Sako in '06 Ackly Improved.
I have about the same in Pre 72 Sako's in 222 Mag and 223.
Hard to beat the old 06 even though I love my Husky 9.2 x 62 and my Rem 7600 in 35 Whelen.
I was on the Sako factory moose hunt in Finland in '85 and we killed 32 moose in 2 days with Sako 30/06' and Sako 180 grn. Hammerheads.
