My 30-06 is a Beretta Mato with a synthetic stock. It currently wears an old Burris Fullfield 3x9x38 in Talley lever rings & bases. I will upgrade this to a Ziess 3x9x40 Conquest. I have not had the chance to take this rifle hunting yet, but the load I am going to develope for it is a copy of the Remingto Premium Safari load, 180gr Swift A-frame, Remington nickle case, Remington primer and enough IMR 4350 powder to get 2700 fps. For a practice load I will substitue a Remignton 180gr Corelokt PSP and standard brass cases. I will eventually put on iron sights consiting of a New England Custom Guns banded fornt sight with a brass faced sourdough insert and the rear sight will be a Tally adjustible aperature that can be installed on the rear base when the scope is removed. I just have to figure out how to carry it on the rifle until I need it. Any sugestions?
