In reply to:I know there is a wildcat that is a 300 Wby necked down to 6.5 mm, as well as a 6.5-50 BMG but a rifle in that chambering may be a little too heavy for hunting sheep and goats. Then again, you could probably sit at the base of the mountain and take the shot.
I do think that a 6.5 based on an '06 case would walk all over a 270 or 25-06
